Are Mabel and Dipper gonna be back? Gravity Falls is might just return for season 3 at last. An American mystery-cum-comedy cartoonized TV series, Gravity Falls airs on Disney Channel and Disney XD. The show ran from 15th June 2012 to 15th February 2016. Created by Alex Hirsch, the show revolves around the adventures of Dipper and Mabel, who are twin siblings. The two are on a visit to Stan, their great-uncle or Grunkle, in Gravity Falls, Oregon. What’s so special about this quaint town is that it’s full of mysterious supernatural accidents and inhuman creatures. Mabel and Dipper help their grunkle run the Mystery Shack and solve mysteries at the same time.
Back in 2015, the creator had announced that the series will finish, and it did so on February 15th, 2016. The last episode was one hour long. Gravity Falls was praised for its humor, characteristics, writing, and appeal to all generations alike. Gravity Falls has to its name 2 Emmys, 3 Annie Awards, and even a BAFTA children’s award. In 2015, it was the highest-rated show on Disney XD.

Gravity Falls: Plot Summary and Cast
It is summer vacation, and Dipper and Mabel Pines, twin siblings, are on their way from Piedmont, Califonia, to meet Stan Pines. Stan Pines often referred to in the show as Grunkle (Great Uncle) Stan, runs a tourist trap by the name of the Mystery Shack in Gravity Falls, Roadkill County, Oregon. And although the town seems quiet and small, it is not what it seems. There seem to be a lot of unnatural things going on, and with the help of a particular journal, the two siblings start solving all the mysteries in the community. There are other characters, too such as the cashier, Wendy Corduroy, Soos Ramirez, who is Dipper, and Mabel’s friend and a handyman to Grunkle Stan. Every day is an adventure for the twins.

Jason Ritter and Kristen Schaal are the voice actors behind the 12-year-old twins’ Dipper and Mabel Pines. Alex Hirsch himself voices Grunkle Stan. Stan, although grumpy and greedy is very much fond of Dipper and Mabel. Alex Ramirez also voices Soos Ramirez, Grunkle’s handyman. Wendy Corduroy is a 15-year-old part-timer who works at The Mystery Shack. Wendy is voiced by Linda Cardellini. And then there’s Stanford pines – Grunkle Stan’s long lost, 6 fingered twin. JK Simmons is the voice actor behind him.
Gravity Falls: Spoilers of Season 1 and 2
When Dipper and Mabel arrive at Mystery Shack, their excitement deflates a bit. They were hoping to find some exciting mysteries for them to solve, but it was only a tourist trap. Their uncle then tricks them and sends them into the forest to advertise the Mystery Shack therein. It was there that they found the journal with the words “TRUST NO ONE” written on it. The journal talked of many peculiar but interesting things, such as cloning and time travel. And then there’s someone who wants to steal it. And he has a demon at his service. Dipper raises zombies in order to make the government officials believe that what he is saying is the truth.
This leads soon to a discovery that the author of the famed journal was none other than Grunkle Stan’s brother, Stanford. Grunkle Stan claimed that all his hard work was to get his brother back from his portal. In the end, the demons were all defeated.

Gravity Falls Season 3 Release Date
Officially, there will never be a season 3 for Gravity Falls. It will never release because as before mentioned, Alex clearly said that the show has finished. Not canceled, but finished. But recently, many rumors arose of the series’ revival, seeing how famous it was amongst all age groups. But, unfortunately for us, Alex Hirsch has invalidated all this as rumors and fake news. However, there might be a reason why these rumors arose in the first place. There might be a single spin-off episode for the show that Alex is planning about. But as there is nothing official about it yet, we cannot set that as a fact. This show was immensely loved, and that’s probably why even though almost 5 years of its end, people cannot let go of it.
