K-Pop groups disbandments are not uncommon in South Korea’s critically acclaimed music industry. It differs significantly from its western counterpart. However, regardless of all the breakups when artists who were together for years decide to come back for more new projects, it is an occasion that calls for a celebration. This time it is SISTAR members Hyolyn and Dasom who have decided to make new music together.
SISTAR was one of the biggest bands in the mid-2010s decade. Before they disbanded, SISTAR had topped the Korea Billboard Hot 100 chart for nine consecutive weeks. Contents Lab VIVO is an entertainment agency that focuses on producing internet-based content for consumption. The ‘How To Have A Good 2021’ project was started by Contents Lab VIVO in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic to give back to society and help the people who have been worse affected. SISTAR’s Hyolyn and Dasom are a part of this project, and their upcoming song will be released as a part of it. All proceeds will serve philanthropic goals. Large-scale promotions will not be held due to a small production budget. However, fans still have a lot to look forward to.

Nothing about the single has been released so far. All we know is that the song will be released at 6 PM KST on August 10, 2021. SISTAR saw massive stardom in South Korea in 2014. Later, in 2015, the members began venturing forth to their solo careers. There was no major reason behind SISTAR’s disbandment. In the K-Pop music industry, most groups stop promoting as a band after 7-years. It is usually around this time that contracts end, and members decide to pursue other careers or continue separately. It was in May 2017 that Starship Entertainment announced the band’s disbandment. The group performed for the last time on Inkigayo in June 2017 before bringing all promotional activities to a halt altogether.
