On the official twitter page of Shonen Jump News has updated a chart of the top best-selling manga 2020. Let Anime Couple Avatar find out which series will be on the list.
1. Kimetsu no Yaiba
Kimetsu no Yaiba is a Japanese manga series by Gotouge Koyoharu. This manga was serialized in Weekly Shounen Jump from the February 2016 issue to the May 2020 issue, and the story chapters were compiled into 21 tankoubon volumes.
Thanks to the success of the anime, the franchise's manga version has been a hit, as evidenced by the fact that Kimetsu no Yaiba is the number one manga in sales in 2020.
2. Kingdom
Kingdom is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Hara and Yasuhisa, published by Shueisha and serialized in Weekly Young Jump.
The story takes place during the Warring States period of ancient China (476-221 BC) focuses on the journey of an unknown boy and a young king as they try to change the history of the kingdom, it is a journey colorfully colored by violence and pain.
3. One Piece
One Piece is a teenage manga by Oda Eiichiro, serialized in Weekly Shounen Jump, which debuted in the 34th issue on July 19, 1997. Shueisha released the first episode on December 24, 1997. One Piece tells about the journey of Monkey D. Luffy - the captain of the Straw Hat Pirates and his comrades. Luffy searches for the mysterious sea where the world's biggest treasure is kept, One Piece, with the goal of becoming the New Pirate King.
4. Haikyu
Haikyuu is a Japanese shounen manga series composed and illustrated by Haruichi Furudate. The series was originally scheduled to be a one-shot release in Jump NEXT! by Shueisha, but since February 2012, chapters have been published weekly in Weekly Shounen Jump. As of May 2020, the series has been closed in 43 tankoubon volumes and released in Japan through Shueisha.
5. Jujutsu Kaisen
Jujutsu Kaisen is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Akutami Gege, published in Shueisha's Weekly Shounen Jump magazine since March 2018. Thirteen volumes have been published.
Those are the top 5 names in the sales figures for 2020. All of them are popular and popular manga, only Jujutsu Kaisen just emerged this year when the anime was released.
